In 1972 David established the Renewal Christian Centre, Solihull, West Midlands, which grew to be one of the largest Churches in England. David retired as Senior Pastor in 2019, after 47 years, and became Founding Pastor. He spent 28 years with the Elim Pentecostal Church serving on the Executive Elim Church Incorporated Board and as a Superintendent Minister overseeing 32 Churches in the Heart of England.
In 2009, he was consecrated as Bishop and later Archbishop of the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches (Europe). He is founding Bishop of the Order of St Leonard, supporting and transforming the people of nations across the globe, and in 2016 he was honoured by HM Queen Elizabeth II with an OBE.
He is married to Molly, and they have three children and four grandchildren.
